Ascent Trust was founded with the aim of developing a vision and strategic plan for special schools in Sunderland. The trust is currently made up of six special needs academies.
Our relationship with the trust has grown from our work with their individual schools, helping them in their transition to academy status. We were subsequently asked to design and deliver an information based web site to help share the trust’s vision.
As the trust has grown, we were commissioned to develop complimentary web sites for each academy in the trust, building upon the Ascent brand, but incorporating each school’s identity and brand colours.
By standardising design and functionality, we have helped to create mobile-friendly, engaging web sites that are easy to maintain.
Application of the new brand is an ongoing project.
Ascent was founded by four secondary schools with the aim of developing a vision and strategic plan for special educational needs in Sunderland.
To celebrate their new ‘academy’ status, St. Aidan’s asked us to come up with some innovative ideas in the form of a brand refresh, a new web site and lots more in addition.
Jam Jar worked in partnership with students from the Barbara Priestman School to develop a legacy web site that showcased their work with Creative Partnerships over the past two years. During our introductory workshop the students brainstormed a ‘genius’ name for the site, ‘Awesome Minds’ that we used as a starting point for the brand and logo.
