Branding / Design & Print / Web

Over the past 12 months we have built a strong relationship with the team at EDBS, delivering designs for the popular ‘Advice Mag’, ‘Celebration of Enterprise Awards’ and their apprenticeships initiative. To support ambitious plans for the future, Jam Jar were approached to lead the business’s rebrand.
EDBS helps support the start up and growth of businesses in the East Durham area. Our brief was to ‘move forward’ their existing brand as opposed to ‘move away’ from the well-established identity. With that in mind Jam Jar built upon the brand’s existing colour palette and typestyles and introduced a friendlier tone of voice, as well as a few contemporary additions.
We developed a new logo that abbreviated the business’s existing name and introduced a strap line to reflect their services, ‘start up. develop. grow.’ which we communicated graphically through text and icons.
Jam Jar won the contract to develop the new EDBS web site, further strengthening our relationship with EDBS. We worked closely with the business to understand their requirements and build a future-proof solution that was easy to maintain. We extended the already successful EDBS Apprenticeships web site template to promote familiarity within the EDBS suite of web sites – the flexibility of design bodes well for new micro-sites that will carry the EDBS brand.
Application of the new brand is an ongoing project; first on our list, filling-up the EDBS stationery cupboard with a lovely new stationery set!
“Emma and Tom as always were a pleasure to work with on the rebranding project. From the initial meeting to providing brand concept choices and right through to completing the project, they listened and understood what was required of the new EDBS brand. The final result saw us re-launch with a totally refreshed brand which has made a world of difference to our letterheads, compliment slips, business cards and marketing materials.”Donna Hart, Marketing Officer, EDBS
A snazzy brand identity for East Durham Business Service’s (EDBS) annual awards ceremony ‘Celebration of Enterprise.’
With National Apprenticeship Week fast approaching, EDBS Apprenticeships wanted a new brand identity and web site to ‘grab’ the attention of local residents in the East Durham area.
