Branding / Web

Good From Woods is a research project aimed at identifying how people benefit both personally and socially from woodland activities. It is led by the Silvanus Trust and Plymouth University, in partnership with the Woodland Trust… sharing a love for the great outdoors, a perfect project for Jam Jar!
Our brief to create a new brand for Good From Woods and design a web site to share research findings with others.
The chosen brand identity was organic, free-spirited and engaging thanks to the earthy colour palette, freehand fonts and sketchy graphic devices.
Photography features heavily in the overall design, acting as visual evidence for the many research activities undertaken.
A content management system allows the Good From Woods team to populate and update the site’s content independently and as often as required.
The site contains a blog and twitter feed to keep users up to date with daily research activities.

Our brief, develop a software resource to involve children with the exhibits housed in the Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art. The software would realise the educational concept of Anne Curtis, Education Consultant and founder of Shoo Fly Publishing.
A year in the making, what a delight when a copy ‘hot off the press’ of the News Real Teachers Resource Pack, published by Tyneside Cinema arrived on our desk.
